A Message from Pastor Eric
|
I woke up Monday morning to this email from my kids’ school:
We are aware of the social media posts impacting the safety of students in Abbotsford. We are in communication with our youth liaison at the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) and are following the direction of the APD, who, at this time, do not believe this threat to be credible. The leadership team will be closely monitoring this situation and our campuses throughout the day...

Alpha at Central Abbotsford
|
We are excited to be running the Alpha course at Central Abbotsford!
Alpha is a place where we discuss some of life's biggest questions and explore of the basics of who Jesus is. If you are new to Christianity or questioning the faith, this is a great option for you! OR if you know someone who has questions about Christianity, you can invite them to attend with you!
Though this course isn't designed for mature believers, it is a fantastic opportunity for you to invite your friends, coworkers, or neighbours who don't personally know Jesus to join you for a night of great discussion in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Alpha at Central Abby will start on Saturday, April 26th and will run until June 7th, with the exception of the holiday weekend on May 17th.

Mark your calendars for Good Friday on April 18th when we will be joining the other Northview sites for the Tenebrae Services at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm at the Downes Road Campus. Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. As the lights in the service slowly fade, we will ponder the depth of Christ’s suffering and death through scripture readings and music. Due to the dramatic nature of Tenebrae, we ask you to arrive early to fully experience the service and plan to stay for the entire hour.
Northview Kids will be offering a special Stations of The Cross experience for children in Preschool through Grade 5 during all services. This interactive journey through the Easter story is designed to help kids engage with the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.
For more details, including service times and locations, please visit our website by clicking the link below.

After Good Friday, join us back at Central Abbotsford on April 19th for our regular Saturday night service at 5:30pm as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Easter is a meaningful time to invite friends and family who may not regularly attend church. Easter invite cards are available at the Connect Desk. Please take as many as you need!
Let’s gather in celebration of the hope we have in Christ!

Parent Equipping Sessions
|
At Northview, we’re committed to helping people become deeply rooted followers of Jesus, and that includes equipping parents to guide their kids in faith.
Dating can be a tricky topic, especially in today’s culture. Whether your kids are just starting to ask questions, already dating, or you’re preparing for the future, this evening is for you. Lisa Toews and Pastor Luke will offer a biblical perspective and lead a practical conversation on how to walk with your kids through the world of dating with wisdom and grace.
Join us in the Atrium at the Downes Road Campus on Tuesday, April 29th or Thursday, May 1st from 7:00–9:00pm. Both nights will cover the same content and run alongside our Middle School and High School Youth nights, so come on the evening that works best for your schedule—especially if you’re already dropping off your child.
We’d love to have you join us! Register at the link below!

Prayer is often an underused privilege with untapped potential. Sunday Night Prayer is an evening to draw near to God together. This time will guide you to slow down, reflect on who God is, and ask him to make things happen on earth as in heaven - in our lives, in our church, and in our world.
Whether you come to pray or simply sit in stillness, you are welcome. Join us on Sunday, April 27 from 6:00pm–7:30pm in Centre Court at the Downes Road Campus.

Prayer Request - Global Workers in Sensitive Regions
|
At Northview, we support several missionaries who serve in sensitive regions—areas where sharing information about their ministry could put their lives, or the lives of those they’re reaching, at risk due to political or cultural tensions. Because of this, we cannot disclose who they are, where they serve, or what exactly they do. In fact, we can’t even mention their names.
In a world where most communication happens through social media, online newsletters, and email, these missionaries remain quiet. This silence can make it challenging to share both their joys and struggles. Yet they continue faithfully, and they still need us, the church, to support them in prayer.
How to pray: • Pray that they would be encouraged in their work and have the strength to persevere in difficult regions. • Ask for ongoing protection and wisdom as they discern when and how to share the Good News. • Pray that hearts would be open to hearing the truth about God, and that many would come to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour. • Ask God to strengthen and encourage new believers, who often face great hardship for saying yes to Jesus. The cost is high, but their faith is strong.
