A Message from Pastor Jesse
|
Hey Mission Campus,
Easter is around the corner and apparently so is the Summer, love the sunshine! As always, we will be gathering together this weekend to worship the Lord and will spend time in John 19:38-42.
One of our long term Children's Ministries Teachers has recently had to move away and we are now left with a void in our age 3 class. Would you consider signing up to fill that void, to serve every other week and help disciple the next generation to love Jesus and His Church? For more information, please contact Chrystal using the link below.
See you all on Sunday,
Jesse

"Did You Know?" with Darcy

Did you know that our college aged ministry, called NYA (Northview Young Adults) and led by Pastor Fredy, consistently averages between 250 to 300 young adults every two weeks?
The ministry year began with a series on dating and has now transitioned to a series on the book of Hebrews (which could also make for a great name for a Christian coffee house... He Brews). There are currently 9 Community Groups for young adults that meet either weekly or bi-weekly, and approximately 20 young adults have been baptized since September.
Let's praise God for providing a place where young adults can grow in their walk with Jesus. By giving to the general budget, you support ministries like this one! Could you please take a moment to pray for our young adults? Well, now you know!

Thank you to all those who donated towards our February initiative! For the month of March we are supporting an organization called Hope Central.
This is a no obligation, low barrier opportunity for those that call Northview "home," to help our community in a variety of ways. We would love it if you'd join us!
MARCH: HOPE CENTRAL
Many people who utilize Hope Central have dietary and chewing limitations due to dental challenges. A simple way you can help is to provide shelf-stable soft foods like apple sauce, “go go squeeze”, soup in a can (with pop top lid), instant mashed potatoes, peanut butter, and canned salmon. Consider dropping off these items at the Connect Desk over the month of March as we support Hope Central.

Good Friday and Easter Weekend
|
Easter is just around the corner and we are excited to celebrate it with you! Join us to hear the story of how Jesus rose from the dead - and why that matters for you!
But before Easter Sunday, mark your calendars for Good Friday, which will take on a bit of a different feel this year. We are inviting everyone to register for a time slot between 4pm-7pm to come walk through a self guided immersive experience focusing on four distinct scenes. In remembrance, you’ll be welcomed to enjoy the elements of the passover meal, while seeing how Jesus fulfills every symbol. Then, looking at the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial and sentencing, you’ll be encouraged to consider the different characters mentioned in the synoptic gospels. There will be an interactive component of confession and repentance at the third station as we consider Jesus’ crucifixion. And finally, the burial of Jesus will hit home as we take communion together, focusing on His blood being poured out, and His body being broken for the sins of His people. Our prayer teams will be available, so please come ready to share, receive, and be prayed for.

In this class, we hope to equip you with practical teaching and advice to set you up for a successful marriage. Over three sessions, we will discuss marriage, sex, finances, communication, parents/parents-in-law, and answer any questions you might have! Each session will include a discussion on the current cultural view compared with teaching on the Biblical view of each topic. This class is for seriously dating and/or engaged couples.
The class will take place on May 7, 14 and 21 at 7pm at the Downes Road location. For more information and to register, click the button below!

At Northview we have two primary strategies to help people GROW: our Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies and Community Groups. Each spring, we switch things up a bit and encourage people to GROW and GO through our Theology, Life & Culture courses. These courses are an opportunity for our pastors to discuss more about the various gifts God has given believers in order to serve one another well, navigating the complexities of our faith and considering how our faith impacts the way we live, and learning how to resolve every day conflicts. This semester of TLC begins on April 6 and runs until the end of May. Courses will be offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Childcare will be available for the Monday evening courses only.
