A Message from Pastor Eric
|
In my newsletter four weeks ago, I mentioned the following: “Passover, of course, represents a new beginning for Israel, as they broke free from the slavery of Egypt. And Passover’s close ties to Easter also symbolize a new beginning - the new life found in Christ. But I’ll talk more about those in April…”
Well, it’s April!

This Weekend at Northview
|
Our Good Friday Tenebrae Services are happening tomorrow, April 18th at the Downes Road Campus (32040 Downes Rd) at 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm.
Tenebrae is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. As the lights in the service gradually fade, we’ll reflect on the depth of His sacrifice through Scripture and music. Due to the dramatic nature of the service, we encourage you to arrive early and stay for the full hour.
During all services, Northview Kids will be offering a special Stations of the Cross experience for children in Preschool through Grade 5. This interactive journey through the Easter story helps kids engage with the truth of Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection in a meaningful, age-appropriate way. Nursery care is available for children aged 2 and under.

We'll have dinner in the gym at 4:30pm and the service will be at 5:30pm.
Easter is a meaningful time to invite friends and family who may not regularly attend church, so we encourage you to invite them to join!
Let’s gather in celebration of the hope we have in Christ!

Alpha at Central Abbotsford
|
We are excited to be running the Alpha course at Central Abbotsford!
Alpha is a place where we discuss some of life's biggest questions and explore of the basics of who Jesus is. If you are new to Christianity or questioning the faith, this is a great option for you! OR if you know someone who has questions about Christianity, you can invite them to attend with you!
Though this course isn't designed for mature believers, it is a fantastic opportunity for you to invite your friends, coworkers, or neighbours who don't personally know Jesus to join you for a night of great discussion in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Alpha at Central Abby will start on Saturday, April 26th and will run until June 7th, with the exception of the holiday weekend on May 17th.

Parent Equipping Sessions
|
At Northview, we’re committed to helping people become deeply rooted followers of Jesus, and that includes equipping parents to guide their kids in faith.
Dating can be a tricky topic, especially in today’s culture. Whether your kids are just starting to ask questions, already dating, or you’re preparing for the future, this evening is for you. Lisa Toews and Pastor Luke will offer a biblical perspective and lead a practical conversation on how to walk with your kids through the world of dating with wisdom and grace.
Join us in the Atrium at the Downes Road Campus on Tuesday, April 29th or Thursday, May 1st from 7:00–9:00pm. Both nights will cover the same content and run alongside our Middle School and High School Youth nights, so come on the evening that works best for your schedule—especially if you’re already dropping off your child.
We’d love to have you join us! Register at the link below!

We live in a world full of things clawing for our attention, constantly demanding our time, depleting our energy, and dragging down our hearts. We are often weary of the conflict, the grind, the non-stop schedules. We are burdened by the expectations, the unrealized hopes, and the unexpected suffering around us. We can feel stuck.
And yet, Jesus offers a completely different reality: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
We invite all women and girls (from middle school and older) to join us at the Downes Road Campus on May 30th and 31st as we come to Jesus, dig into God’s Word together, and find true rest. Click the button below to register!
If the financial cost or the need for childcare is a barrier for you attending this event, please reach out to us at [email protected].
|
If you have a student in Grade 5, Northview Kids would love to invite you out to our Grade Group Hangout happening at Mill Lake Church on May 2nd from 5pm to 7pm! Hangouts are a fantastic opportunity for children to connect, learn, and grow together! We'll serve dinner, play games and do some activities! We'll also have Pastor Dan and Morgan come to talk a bit about what Middle School Youth is like and Pastor Dan will give our Bible talk!
Sign up your grade 5 student and their friends now!
